The criteria

What “vetted” means. Five checks.

No supplier can apply or buy a place. Every nominee faces the same five checks; the result is printed.

A Register entry, and the Stamp it earned

Stamped · 2027 · in date · first year 14 Mar 2027 · renews 14 Mar 2028

Hartley & Co · Accountancy · Leeds · KP 5 / £1 · Nominated by 3 members

The supplier, dates and rate are examples.
  1. 1

Nominated by a member firm that has paid the supplier's invoice.

No supplier can buy a place. The entry shows how many member firms nominated it.

  2. 2

Filed accounts read; insurance certificates seen and dated.

Accounts as filed at Companies House. Indemnity and liability certificates, current, dates recorded.

  3. 3

    References, taken by the Desk.

From member firms that have paid the supplier and would buy again.

  4. 4

Service terms on file and a rate (KP per £1) set and printed beside the name.

The supplier sets its rate inside its category's band. A change applies to invoices dated after it.

  5. 5

A year on probation; re-tested every year.

The Stamp is valid for 12 months. Renewal needs a re-test and one settled member invoice.

What the Stamp is not

A statutory registration, an accreditation or a guarantee of a supplier's work. It is a test passed and a year granted.

Struck off, in public

Struck off by the Register panel and listed, with the reason, for 12 months. No Points on invoices dated after that day; earlier Points stand.
